Mission
Our mission is to provide the highest standards of palliative care for people in Hastings and Rother and effective support for their families and carers.
Strategic Aims
- To treat every individual as unique, a person we value, whose culture and diverse perspective we respect, through an open and honest environment.
- To enable individuals to reach their full potential, valuing what they offer, respecting their autonomy, encouraging participation in their own care.
- To address patients’ pain or distress, whether physical, social, emotional or spiritual.
- To recognise, encourage and develop the essential contribution that volunteers make to the Company.
- To provide a life-long learning culture among staff.
- To promote the highest standards of palliative care through education and collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals.
- To maintain and enhance our reputation as a charity respected and valued by local people and the business community, recognising that over 60% of our expenditure is funded through the generosity of individuals and organisations from the community.
- To ensure that the Company is adequately resourced to meet current and future needs.
