Bereavement Support

How can bereavement support be accessed?

Anyone can access the service by telephoning 01424 456 361.  While we accept all self-referrals, we also take referrals from medical professionals, hospice staff, mental health services and social services either by phone, letter or the Bereavement Referral Form.

What does the service consist of?

St Michael's Bereavement Service provides support for individuals who are bereaved and in need of extra support during their most difficult period of grief.  We will all react differently following the death of someone close, and there are no right or wrong ways to cope.  Individuals are offered an initial appointment to talk through how their bereavement is impacting on them and we will explain what we are able to provide.  Bereavement support is typically either given through one to one support or in a group.  For more information, please follow this link to the Bereavement Support section of our website.
