Beginning her career in computer programming, Julia then became a systems analyst and project manager at J P Morgan, in London, Paris and New York.  She then moved into management consultancy with Touche Ross (now Deloittes) and latterly, Charteris plc, specialising in project and programme management and records and information management.  Julia lives in Playden, just outside Rye.
