Bibby Financial Services support local Hospice

Staff go that extra mile ....

Staff at Bibby Financial Services in Hastings have raised a mountainous £15,495 for St Michael’s Hospice by tackling the Three Peaks Challenge, the Peruvian Inca Trail and a host of other fundraising activities.

Parent company, the Bibby Line Group, celebrated its bicentenary in 2007 and as part of a global charitable initiative, Bibby Financial Services decided to channel all its fundraising efforts into supporting St Michael’s Hospice which celebrates its own special anniversary – its 21st – this year.

Bibby photoLocally, the Hastings office raised £7,974.99 which was matched pound for pound by the Bibby Line Group resulting in the presentation of a cheque totalling £15,495.  This total was achieved through a year of staff involvement, in particular Lesley Wenham who trekked the Inca Trail and Collin Adams and Emma Slidel who braved the Three Peaks Challenge.”

Deborah Taylor, Bibby Financial Services’ Bicentenary Ambassador, coordinated the year-long programme of fundraising events which included raffles, quiz nights, Bingo and client donations. She said: “We remain keen supporters of St Michael’s Hospice and have been, since the opening of our office in Hastings in 1998.
