As part of our flexible range of services, we can offer extended specialist palliative care for those patients who have been assessed by the Hospice In-Patient Unit as being unable to return home immediately.  This care is provided within St Augustine’s by our specialist and experienced multi-disciplinary clinical teams, ably supported by volunteers.  For the duration of your extended stay you will remain under the care of the Hospice Medical Director and his team and will continue to have access to all Hospice services.  These services are provided free of charge. 

This service is supported by a contract with the Primary Care Trust which outlines the criteria for admissions.
