Standards of Service

Standards you can expect from the service
When you are under the care of the Hospice Day Therapy Centre you can expect nursing care to meet the following standards:
Promptness
Courtesy
All Day Therapy Centre nurses will wear name badges and photo ID badges and introduce themselves in a courteous, warm professional manner.
You and your family will be asked whether you wish to be called by your first name and we will respect your preference. This will be documented in the nursing notes.
Respect
You are entitled to openness and honesty in our discussions with you.
All the team will respect the culture, beliefs and sexual orientation of each individual patient. We follow the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s Code of Professional Conduct which states that we must:
'Recognise and respect the uniqueness and dignity of each patient and client and respond to their need for care, irrespective of their ethnic origin, religious beliefs, personal attributes, the nature of their health problems or any other factor.'
