Yellow Day 2009

Help us turn Hastings & Rother Yellow ....

Local schools, colleges and nurseries have, for several years, been taking part in Yellow Day by wearing something yellow for the day in exchange for a donation of £1.  This year Yellow Day falls on Thursday 11th June.

Arrow FM smallThis year, we are opening up the opportunity for some 'sunshine yellow fun' to local businesses as well!  We are delighted that Arrow FM will be supporting us by spending the day collecting some of the funds raised while broadcasting live the amount that has been raised during the day.

Traditionally Yellow Day has involved exchanging £1 for wearing something yellow for the day at work.  This can be as subtle as a yellow handkerchief in the top pocket of a jacket, yellow socks, a yellow bracelet or, for those who want to get into the swing of things, full head to toe sunshine yellow!  I wonder how many people can manage that!  Of course, anyone not wearing yellow could always pay a fine.

On the day you could arrange a yellow raffle (yellow raffle tickets of course!), or have a yellow lunch with every member of your team bringing in a different yellow yummy.

To take part in Yellow Day is easy!  Simply download the Yellow Day Registration and either email it or post it to Yellow Day, St Michael's Hospice, Youldon House, 54 Pevensey Road, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, TN38 0LS.  For more information please call 01424 456377

If you would like to take part, either through your work or school, we would be delighted to hear from you – the more the merrier!
