St Michael's Hospice - Events

Fat Tuesday

On 16th February, Hastings will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday by having its first ever Mardi Gras.  The event has been organised to celebrate the live music scene in Hastings and to raise funds for St Michael's Hospice.  The name 'Fat Tuesday' comes from the English translation of 'Mardi Gras' - a time to seriously party before the beginning of Lent.

Fat TuesdayLocal bands will be playing all over Hastings Old Town and Hastings Town Centre.  The evening kicks off at 7pm in the FILO pub and will progress through The Anchor Pub, Dragon Bar and Jenny Lind Pub in the Old Town.  The entertainment will then move over to Pissaro's and The Brass Monkey in Hastings Town Centre.  Several other venues will be hosting their own special entertainment throughout the evening.

There is no charge for admission but people will be asked to make a donation to St Michael's Hospice.  For more information either click on the poster (see right) or visit www.hastingsfattuesday.co.uk

If you would be willing to carry a collecting bucket on the night please contact Julie Brett in the fundraising department on 01424 456380 or email.
