Report of the Show

Sunshine for Step Back in Time

Glorious sunshine greeted visitors to Step Back in Time at Hurst Lane, Sedlescombe on 4 and 5 August.  Committee members, who had been working for a year to prepare the show, were thankful for the fine weather and delighted that crowds turned out on both days to enjoy the magnificent displays of tractors and agricultural machinery, heavy horses, crafts, dog shows, Morris dancing and much more.

St Michael’s Hospice received a remarkable total of £30,000 from the show and this sum included £750 matched funding presented by Nigel Thornely on behalf of Barclays Commercial.  St Michael’s thanked Dave Gain, Chairman, and all committee members for their tremendous support.  Dave thanked Jonathan Vine-Hall for his input and everyone involved - exhibitors, volunteers, local business who had contributed so generously as well as members of the public who appreciated the many attractions.
