Terms & Conditions
Please read the following:
- The Stroll for St Michael's sponsored walk is being organised by Nice Work, whose address is Unit 4, Malthouse Business Park, The Maltings, Peasmarsh, East Sussex, TN31 6TA and to whom all correspondence on the event should be addressed.
- The participant (being defined as the individual completing Part 1 of this Booking Form) hereby undertakes that they are medically fit to undertake the walk as outlined on the booking form. The participant also undertakes to provide all relevant medical information relating to their health to Nice Work at the time of registration. Nice Work is entitled to recover any reasonable losses incurred as a result of failure of the participant to do so.
- Nice Work reserve the right to refuse a participant the right to commence the Event or require a participant to cease participation in the Event should they, or any of their representatives, reasonably believe this to be necessary on medical grounds.
- Nice Work requires a non-refundable deposit or registration fee of £50. This fee is payable at the time of entry. However, if the event is cancelled by St Michael's Hospice or Nice Work any deposits taken will be refunded.
- Nice Work reserves the right to cancel part or all of an Event at any time. i) Should cancellation be due to factors wholly outwith their control (for example in respect of weather, or any participant failing to adhere to these conditions) then they will refund all monies other than a) the registration fee, b) monies for any accommodation, food, travel etc already used. ii) Should cancellation be due to factors partially or wholly within Nice Work's control then they will refund all monies other than monies for any accommodation, food, travel etc already used. In both cases, any monies raised in sponsorship on behalf of, or in the name of St Michael's Hospice will become due to St Michael's Hospice.
- Nice Work reserve the right to materially alter or change the itinerary, accommodation, transport or food at any time for the Event provided same is of equal or greater quality to that previously stated.
- In no event shall Nice Work be liable for recompense, restitution, damages, or any other liability to the participant other than for personal injury caused by Nice Work's negligence. Without prejudice to the foregoing generality Nice Work shall not be liable for i) any loss of earnings ii) any loss or damage to any personal property, iii) any loss suffered due to delays in transport.
- The participants are responsible for i) ensuring that they have proper and adequate clothing for the Event, ii) obtaining any personal insurance for injury or belongings they may require.
- The participant must report in writing any accident or loss to Nice Work within 7 days of suffering same. Any claim against Nice Work must be intimated within 21 days of the end of the Event.
- All participants must agree to undertake fund-raising on behalf of St Michael's Hospice. Approval must be sought from St Michael's Hospice if participants are to use any form of St Michael's Hospice branding in publicising any fund raising events. We will though give every encouragement to your fundraisng events and are happy to provide any advice required. All enquiries about fund raising events should be directed in the first instance to Nice Work.
- If participants are unable to meet the minimum sponsorship requirements, then the must either forfeit their place or make up the difference themselves. If, for any reason, participants fail to take up their place, all money's raised in the name of the Hospice must be forwarded to St Michael's Hospice.
- All participants taking part must be at least 18 years of age on August 1st 2008 - unless entrants are accompanied by parents or guardians. We can accommodate families - but each entrant must meet the minimum sponsorship guidelines.
- Entrants must agree to wear St Michael's Hospice identification at all times during the event. Furthermore, they must adhere to all instructions given to them throughout the event by organisers to ensure their safety.
- Participants enter at their own risk.
Sponsorship:
- In addition to the £50 registration fee, all individual participants are to provide a minimum of £350 in sponsorship; couples must provide a minimum of £600 in sponsorship. Children can be accommodated for an additional £100 in sponsorship each, providing that they share a room with an adult.
- In addition to the £50 registration fee, the organisers requires that a minimum of 75% of the minimum sponsorship level should be paid by July 30th and the balance within 30 days of the end of the event.
- Entrants should try and ensure that as much fundraising or sponsorship monies are paid prior to the event. If this is not possible, then entrants are encouraged to pass over any sponsorship money raised as soon as it practicable after the event.
