Volunteers at St Michael's
St Michael's Hospice is well supported by a large number of volunteers who work alongside paid Hospice staff. Volunteers have a vital role to play in delivering Hospice services and we could not manage without their hard work and commitment.
Each and every volunteer enriches the life of the Hospice, bringing with them their outside interests which enhance the service provided to both the patients and their families.

Volunteer's comment:
"I can say with honesty that I have enjoyed every moment of it. I find that for the effort and the time I put in to the work I am rewarded a hundred times over"
"As long as I am able I shall continue to give of my best to St Michael's"
"I feel I'm doing something really useful and worthwhile, making some difference albeit very small, to people who need support"
"You meet many people and instantly there is a bond between you, hence if you are like me and live on your own, it is great to share with other people."
"I can think of no other organisation that deserves volunteers more than St Michael's Hospice or St Augustine's because the excellent work they carry out is there for all to see."
