Working for St Michael's Hospice

Introduction

St Michael's Hospice is committed to providing the highest standards of care to our patients, their families and carers, but we are equally committed to our staff, each of whom contribute to our overall success.  This enables us to offer a rewarding and challenging range of employment and volunteer opportunities across the following areas:

  • Patient Services
  • Support Services
  • Education & Training
  • Fundraising
  • Retail

We employ approximately 180 members of staff, with a wide range of hours and working arrangements.

We also have approximately 750 volunteers who help in areas such as:

  • Reception
  • Coffee Shop
  • Ward
  • Meeting/ Greeting
  • Retails/ Shops

As an independent charity, St Michael's Hospice values working with our local communities.  We encourage all staff to get involved in the many varied activities on offer.  To achieve our aims we need to raise £7,000 per day through voluntary contributions.

We are offering more than a job.  We are offering the change to make a real difference to people's lives and to contribute to the support of our local communities.
